Overview
The EUDiF CDL Nigeria Project, implemented by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) and the European Union in collaboration with IGA Nigeria Ltd., Hatch Ideas UK, the Lagos State Government (LASG) through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MTAC), the National Commission for Museums and Monuments (NCMM), and the Ikorodu Division, championed by the Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom, HRM KA Shotobi and the Odofin Erujeje, High Chief Adewunmi Ogunsanya delivers a transformative training and capacity-building program. This initiative empowers 50 local custodians and creative industry professionals in sustainable heritage management and digital heritage preservation.
The program integrates diaspora expertise, aligns with national policies, and supports local content production for global outreach through a proposed festival exhibition, ensuring sustainability and long-term impact. Participants develop actionable skills to conserve cultural assets and promote heritage tourism, contributing to a sustainable heritage sector in Nigeria.

Sustainable Heritage Management (August 18–22, 2025):
- Day 1: Introduction, ICH overview, heritage asset mapping.
- Day 2: Safeguarding methods, stakeholder engagement, and documentation frameworks.
- Day 3: Community engagement, fieldwork and practical documentation.
- Day 4: Group projects on management plans.
- Day 5: Presentations, peer feedback, certification.
Digital Heritage Preservation (August 25–29, 2025)
- Day 1: Storytelling & Generative AI Tools (introduction, prompt writing, storyboarding).
- Day 2: Mobile Filmmaking & Photography (shooting techniques, editing apps, hands-on creation).
- Day 3: Drone Photography & Cinematography (operations, editing, AI enhancements, Google Map integration).
- Day 4: Editing & AI-Enhanced Post-Production (workflows, tools, best practices).
- Day 5: Monetization & Demo Day (platforms, scaling, presentations, hands-on digitization).
Wrap-Up (August 30–31, 2025)
Feedback collection, preparation for Activity 5 deliverables.
Judging & Certification Criteria
