Programme Overview:

The training consisted of two key modules:

“Sustainable Heritage Management”
(18–22 August 2025), led by Yemisi Mokuolu, Director of Hatch Ideas, a renowned creative and cultural development agency.

“Digital Heritage Preservation”
(25–29 August 2025), led by Mogbolahan Ajala, Managing Director of IGA Nigeria Limited, a certified consultancy in urban development and cultural heritage.

These sessions aimed to equip 50 cultural leaders, custodians, and creative industry practitioners from Ikorodu with practical skills, global best practices, and tools necessary for documenting, safeguarding, and sustainably leveraging traditional festivals. Participants developed actionable heritage management plans designed to enhance economic benefits for their communities.

Timed to coincide with Isese Day, the Lab underscored the significance of marrying cultural tradition with modern preservation methodologies. Through this timely initiative, the EUDiF CDL sought to reinforce local capacity, foster intergenerational knowledge transmission, and protect Lagos State’s rich cultural identity by integrating both traditional wisdom and digital innovation.
